Genetic Stripe
This mutation was first produced & proven simple recessive in 1999. We acquired our first Genetic Stripe ball python into our collection in 2004. He was captive bred and hatched by Morph King Reptiles, produced out of Bob Clark’s bloodline.
The Genetic Stripe mutation can range from a ball python with a perfect gold dorsal stripe outlined in black/brown pigment, to a broken dorsal stripe, where the gold stripe is interrupted by dark pigment, to an almost patternless ball python. Some of them have thin lateral bands that extend downward from the dark striped pigment on the exterior of the dorsal stripe and some have patternless sides.
This is one of the most impressive ball pythons in our collection. As a matter of fact, a very large reptile breeder who is just getting into ball python mutations purchased a Genetic Striped male shortly after visiting our facility. He told me how impressed he was with our animal and that he had to have one! |
